3 suitcases with womanâs remains inside found floating in Florida waterway
A woman’s remains stuffed into three suitcases were found floating in the water in Florida Friday.
Police in Delray Beach, just north of Boca Raton, were called to an area of the intercoastal waterway on Florida’s east coast after someone reported seeing “something strange” in the water.
Detectives responding to the scene found a suitcase with human remains inside.
A short time later, two additional suitcases were located nearby, also with human remains inside.
Delray Beach (Fla.) police are hopeful someone can identify this pattern from the shirt worn by a female whose remains were found in three suitcases floating in the intercoastal waterway Friday.
The remains were taken to the local medical examiner’s office. Preliminary findings indicate the victim is a middle-aged white or Hispanic woman, with brown hair and about 5-4 in height. Police said she may have had tattooed eyebrows and was wearing a floral tank top with a black undershirt and black mid-thigh shorts.
Police are hoping that information leads to identifying the victim. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Delray Beach Police Department at 561-243-7874.
